Review: Bar Angolo is owned and managed by Francesco Zonta who is an experienced Chef and Host. His family and himself are originated from beautiful Venice in Italy. This heritage, passion and tradition clearly shines through in the Food he serves.

The menu has a good range of tradional Italian dishes on offer including daily Chef’s Specials, Antipasti, Salads, Sandwiches and Foccacia, Pasta and Risotto, Pizza, Main courses (meat and fish) and as well some delicious Desserts including Gelato. I can recommend the Calamari fritti as a perfect Antipasti (Starter) which was prepared perfectly making the Calamari very tender and tasty. A must have is one of their Pizza! I have eaten many Pizzas around the world and I must say Bar Angolo’s Pizza is one of the best! Surely the best Pizza I had in Sydney! The crust, tomato base sauce, toppings are perfectly matched, balanced and create the ultimate Pizza experience – Bravo!

Remember Pizza should always be eaten straight from the oven. Once a Pizza ends up in a “box” as a take-away, will mark the end a good Pizza!

Their Pasta (and other dishes) are as well very good and carry traditional Italian flavours and textures like Orechietta (classical Italian Pasta) with pork & fennel sausage or Veal Scaloppine.

In general the food was very good, tasty, honest and straight forward with authentic flavours. Service was friendly and good. Perfectly located in the heart of the “La Strada” Restaurant precinct. A must visit when @Top Ryde Shopping Centre. Overall a pleasant place to enjoy traditional Italian Food and Hospitality.
